  1. The concrete–pictorial–abstract approach is based on the ideas of —

    1. Bruner
    2. Freud
    3. Skinner
    4. Kohlberg

Van Hiele levels describe how geometric thinking develops.

  3. NCF 2005 says mathematics teaching should aim at —

    1. speed of calculation only
    2. mathematisation of the child’s thought
    3. memorising tables only
    4. avoiding real-life examples

उत्तर: (b) mathematisation of the child’s thought. NCF 2005 stresses developing the child’s ability to mathematise.

    3. abstract-first teaching
    4. concrete-to-abstract teaching

Concrete materials come before symbols.

  5. A child says 0.25 is greater than 0.5. This shows —

    1. a careless slip

उत्तर: (d) information about children’s thinking. Errors reveal misconceptions and guide teaching.

  7. Which practice helps reduce mathematics anxiety?

    1. Public ranking
    2. A supportive climate and multiple solution methods
    3. Speed tests daily
    4. Punishing wrong answers
