सार

शब्दावली के प्रश्न सटीक अर्थ, विलोम, प्रायः भ्रमित होने वाले शब्द और सही वर्तनी जाँचते हैं, अधिकतर संदर्भ में।

मुख्य बिंदु

  • पर्यायवाची अर्थ और भाव दोनों में मेल खाने चाहिए।
  • विलोम उसी अर्थ में उलटा होना चाहिए जिसमें शब्द वाक्य में प्रयुक्त है।
  • समध्वनि और भ्रमित होने वाले शब्द: affect/effect, principal/principle, stationary/stationery, complement/compliment।
  • प्रचलित वर्तनियाँ: accommodation, occurrence, embarrass, separate, definite।
  • शब्द-मूल और उपसर्ग अपरिचित शब्दों में मदद करते हैं।

व्याख्या

  • शब्द छोटे विषयगत समूहों में सीखें।
  • मात्रा महत्वपूर्ण है: "irritated", "furious" से हल्का है।
  • वर्तनी में दोहरे अक्षरों और -ence/-ance अंतों पर ध्यान दें।
  • संदर्भ शब्द का अर्थ बदल सकता है (नदी का "bank" बनाम बैंक)।

चरण-दर-चरण

  1. पहले पूरा वाक्य या गद्यांश पढ़ें।
  2. सटीक व्याकरण या शब्दावली नियम लगाएँ।
  3. अंतिम उत्तर को संदर्भ में दोबारा पढ़ें।

उदाहरण

  • "candid" का पर्यायवाची → frank (स्पष्टवादी)।
  • "transparent" का विलोम → opaque (अपारदर्शी)।
  • सही शब्द: "The principal announced a new principle of discipline." (principal = प्रधानाचार्य, principle = सिद्धांत)

ग़लतियों से बचें और उन्नत बिंदु

  • सामान्य भूल: विषय मेल खाना पर भाव नहीं।
  • सामान्य भूल: समध्वनि शब्दों को मिला देना।
  • सामान्य भूल: जहाँ दोहरे अक्षर चाहिए वहाँ एक अक्षर।
