Overview

Part-B of ALP CBT-2 tests the candidate’s own ITI trade; the first step is to confirm which trade syllabus applies.

Key points

Each eligible ITI trade (e.g. Electrician, Fitter, Mechanic Diesel) has its own Part-B paper.
Use the latest official RRB notification for the list of allowed trades.
Part-B is qualifying (minimum 35%).
Questions follow the DGT trade syllabus.
Prepare both trade theory and trade calculations.

Explanation

Keep your ITI certificate trade name exactly as on the notification list.
Revise safety, tools and standard procedures of your trade.
Practise previous trade-test questions.
Do not ignore Part-B even though it is qualifying.

Identify the concept, tool or rule involved.
Recall the definition, value or procedure.
Check units, safety logic and the direction of the effect.

Examples

An Electrician-trade candidate prepares the Electrician Part-B syllabus.
Part-B score of 30% → fails the qualifying mark of 35%.
Merit uses Part-A along with CBT-1; Part-B only needs to be qualified.
