हिंदी में पढ़ें

Overview

Tier-II current events need the same disciplined method as Tier-I but with deeper background and wider coverage.

Key points

  • Cover national policy, international relations, economy, science, environment, sports and awards.
  • Record date, event, actors, place and significance.
  • Link each item to its static concept (constitutional article, ministry, organisation).
  • Revise weekly; consolidate monthly.
  • Prefer official releases over secondary summaries.

Explanation

  • International organisations: note headquarters and India’s role (UN, WHO, WTO, IMF, BRICS, SCO).
  • Summits and agreements: note venue, theme and outcome.
  • Indices and reports: note the publishing body and India’s position only from official releases.
  • Keep a separate list of firsts and records.

Step by step

  1. Check the source.
  2. Record and link.
  3. Revise.

Examples

  • Note format: "[month] — [summit] held at [place]; theme [x]; India’s role [y]".
  • For a new law: record the Act’s name, year, ministry and key provisions.
  • For an index: record the publisher and what it measures.

Traps and advanced points

  • Trap: Mixing up organisers of indices.
  • Trap: Ignoring background context.
  • Trap: Learning ranks without the year.

Quick revision

  • Date every note.
  • Background link for every item.
  • Official source only.
