सार

18वीं शताब्दी से विश्व इतिहास में क्रांतियाँ, औद्योगीकरण, विश्व युद्ध, विउपनिवेशीकरण और शीत युद्ध, तथा उन्हें आकार देने वाले विचार आते हैं।

मुख्य बिंदु

  • औद्योगिक क्रांति 18वीं शताब्दी में ब्रिटेन में शुरू हुई।
  • अमेरिकी स्वतंत्रता की घोषणा 1776 में अपनाई गई; फ़्रांसीसी क्रांति 1789 में स्वतंत्रता, समानता और बंधुत्व के आदर्शों के साथ शुरू हुई।
  • प्रथम विश्व युद्ध 1914 से 1918 तक चला; वर्साय की संधि (1919) ने जर्मनी पर कठोर शर्तें थोपीं।
  • रूसी क्रांति 1917 में हुई।
  • द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध 1939 से 1945 तक चला; संयुक्त राष्ट्र की स्थापना 1945 में हुई।
  • 1991 में सोवियत संघ के विघटन से शीत युद्ध समाप्त हुआ।

व्याख्या

  • राजनीतिक दर्शन: पूँजीवाद, समाजवाद, साम्यवाद और समाज पर उनका प्रभाव।
  • 1945 के बाद एशिया और अफ़्रीका में विउपनिवेशीकरण फैला।
  • विश्व युद्धों के बाद राष्ट्रीय सीमाओं के पुनर्निर्धारण से स्थायी संघर्ष पैदा हुए।
  • महामंदी (1929) ने दो युद्धों के बीच की राजनीति को आकार दिया।
  • उपनिवेशवाद ने औद्योगिक यूरोप को कच्चे माल वाले उपनिवेशों से जोड़ा।
